History of the Institute

The Institute of Social Sciences considers its priority to form independent, intellectual personalities, who are universally and professionally educated and understand the courses of society. To achieve this goal, the Institute utilizes elements of philosophy, political science, sociology, law and history, and special, elective courses that focus on these sciences.

The expansion of educational portfolio started in 1999. September with the introduction of the specialization European Studies, which was followed by the undivided five-year university level programme; International Studies, launching in 2003.

In the installation of Bologna Process in 2005 the International Studies (BA) , in 2008 the International Studies (MA),  Social Sciences (BA) and Political Sciences (BA) were accredited and announced. In 2018 the Communication and Media Science (BA) were accredited.

Our BA graduates have the opportunity to go on with their studies in the course of liberal arts or social sciences masters degree programmes.

The work of our professors and researchers are helped by the secretariat, the contact with our students happens via the Facebook page of the Institute.
